Every location in OVERDRIVE was chosen for what it conceals as much as what it reveals. The crash site, the power station, the marina, the highway — each one a layer of the mystery Ethan Cole is only beginning to understand.

Cliffside Highway

The rain-slicked stretch of road where everything begins. On a night that defied physics, Ethan Cole's car left the highway under conditions no accident investigator could explain. The highway has been repaved twice since — but the anomaly beneath it remains.

Locals avoid this stretch after dark. The city's traffic management system — operated by Meridian Technologies — has flagged this section seventeen times in the past decade. Each report was quietly archived.

The Origin Point

Azure Bay Power Station

Decommissioned in 2019, the power station sits at the edge of the bay like a ruin the city forgot to demolish. Its sub-basement — which appears on no official blueprint — is where Lena Voss leads Ethan and Olivia in Episode 3.

The station was built in 1981 on land acquired by Meridian Technologies through a series of shell companies. Construction records show a six-month gap with no permits filed — and no explanation.

Ethan Cole's Residence

Perched high above the bay, Ethan's modern cliffside home is his last anchor to the life he had before the crash. The garage below is where the bond between Ethan and his Audi R8 deepens — and where the signal first makes itself known.

The house was purchased eighteen months before the series begins. Property records show the previous owner — a Meridian engineer — vacated without notice. The forwarding address was never filed.

Azure Bay Marina

Where luxury yachts and old fishing boats share the same dark water — and where secrets move between them. The marina is neutral ground in Azure Bay, the one place where the city's factions cross paths without consequence.

Marcus Kane keeps a boat here. He has never taken it out. The harbour master — a man named Reyes — has worked the dock for thirty years and claims to have seen everything. He hasn't seen anything yet.

Meridian Technologies HQ

The glass tower at the centre of the city and the centre of the conspiracy. Meridian built Azure Bay's traffic infrastructure, its power grid, and — according to the files Ethan finds in Episode 4 — something else entirely beneath the city streets.

Meridian's public-facing floors are open plan and aggressively transparent. The restricted archive on sub-level three has no windows, no network connection, and no record of ever being built.

Where It Begins

Azure Bay General Hospital

Ethan wakes here three days after the crash with no memory of the impact and a signal playing on loop in his head. The attending physician's notes were altered within hours of his admission. The original file has never been recovered.

The hospital's neurology wing was funded by a Meridian Technologies grant in 2018. The grant conditions have never been made public.
